About DR. SACKS
Alexandra Sacks, MD is a psychiatrist affiliated with the Columbia University Psychoanalytic Center for Training and Research, where she is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Co-Chair of Recruitment. She has a clinical practice where she works in consultation and ongoing treatment with adults of all ages in psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and psychopharmacology. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, winner of numerous national and international awards including for her mental health education in The New York Times, on TED.com, and The TODAY Show. She is an honors awarded graduate of Adult Psychoanalysis at the Columbia University Psychoanalytic Center for Training and Research, the Women’s Mental Health Psychiatry Fellowship Program at the Columbia University Medical Center, the Weill Cornell Psychiatry Residency, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Amherst College.
